If your current panel can handle the new load, the job is simpler. But if you're adding an EV charger to a house that's already on a maxed-out 100-amp panel, the panel upgrade becomes part of the project and adds to the cost.
Access and Wire Runs

A partial rewire in a small cape with an accessible basement is a very different job than a full rewire in a three-story colonial with plaster walls. Square footage, wiring accessibility, the type of old wiring being replaced, and whether the panel needs upgrading at the same time all move the price. That's why we quote after seeing the house, not before.
The price we quote is the price you pay. Occasionally, opening a wall reveals something unexpected, like active knob-and-tube wiring that wasn't visible during the walkthrough. If that happens, we stop, explain what we found, and get your approval before adding anything to the scope. You'll never get a bill higher than what you agreed to without a conversation first.
It depends on your panel. A Level 2 EV charger draws 30-50 amps. If your panel has room and your service is at least 200 amps, you're probably fine.
